The Queensland Naturalists' Club aims to study all branches of natural history. The Club, which was formed in 1906, encourages the preservation and protection of native flora and fauna and publishes observations of natural history. Our members come from all walks of life and share an interest in and knowledge of natural history.
The Club arranges about ten field excursions each year to locations of natural history interest and tours of specialist institutions such as the Queensland Herbarium or museums. Excursions range in duration from short, half-day, or day local trips through to week-end camps. Each year a longer excursion, lasting from one to two weeks is conducted in more remote locations. Visitors are welcome on short excursions. Camps are for members.
