DESCRIPTION:A great way to celebrating International Day for Biological Diversity\, In collaboration with Samford Eco Corridor. \nJoin us for a special Biodiversity Collage workshop celebrating the International Day for Biological Diversity — a global day recognised by the United Nations to raise awareness of the vital role biodiversity plays in sustaining life on Earth and supporting healthy communities. \nThis community event is part of the Richmond Birdwing Butterfly Nature Oasis project\, an citizen conservation initiative restoring habitat for native wildlife and strengthening ecological connectivity in the Samford region. \nThe session will begin with a short introduction to the Richmond birdwing butterfly\, one of Australia’s most spectacular yet threatened butterflies. Once common across South East Queensland\, this species has declined significantly due to habitat loss and fragmentation. \n\nThrough the Biodiversity Puzzle\, participants will discover how restoring native habitat — can help rebuild ecological corridors that allow wildlife to survive and move across landscapes.\nDelivered in partnership with the Samford Ecological Corridor\, this event also aims to inspire local landowners and community members to become part of the solution by contributing to habitat restoration and biodiversity-friendly land management. \nThe Samford Eco‑Corridor is a community‑driven ecological restoration and habitat project in the Samford Parklands area of Samford Valley\, Queensland (near Brisbane).
